Welcome to Lee Park.ca

Lee Park is a violin performer and music producer concentrating on tango, klezmer, classical, and electro-acoustic fusion. She is a classically trained musician and teacher based in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada.

Born in Seoul Korea, raised in Edmonton, Lee took up permanent residency in Halifax in 1999. Lee has been multiple winner of NS Tourism and Culture and federal SOCAN awards, including an internship this spring to study Eastern European klezmer and classical Arabic music in Israel.

Lee has been an ECMA nominee for the “Event of the Year” professional industry award for Libertango. Lee is also creating a cultural showcase with aboriginal urban youth. This project fuses traditional First Nation's art with her electronic group Estringz Project. This project is endorsed by the provincial government, Halifax Miʼkmaq Friendship Center and the nationally acclaimed, Eastern Eagle.

Lee received her Bachler of Arts in Hons Psychology and Music from Saint Mary's and Dalhousie University. Currently Lee is on scholarship taking the one year Journalism degree from King's University. She will be starting her masters at Mcgill in 2010.
